Titanium is well established in dentistry and has repeatedly proven its value. As the biocompatibility is secured, patients can count on coronas, bridges and telescopes made of ticon™¹. Its chemical composition is according to the specifications in ISO norm 5832-2:1999.
Since the crafting process with CAM does not affect material characterisics, the combining properties of titanium with ceramic veneers are maintained. Structural changes in material, which can occur during the conventional moulding routine (e.g. insertion of strange material or wrong temperature) can be completely excluded by this crafting process executed in cold ambits. A nondesired layer of oxides (alpha-case-layer), that may form during the moulding process on the surface of the moulded object, does not arise in milling procedures.
